Description
Used 1950’s Dubonnet (Burgundy/Maroon) Eversharp Lever fill Fountain Pen set. I’m not exactly sure what model this is but I purchased it as a Symphony 700 series budget line pen. Oddly enough it has a gold plated steel nib that’s imprinted with the diagonal Eversharp banner made in U.S.A. It has gold plated trim with no evidence of plating wear or tarnishing.I bought it as restored and it appears to be in working condition but because I didn’t restore it, I’m selling as is. As with any vintage pens there are signs of use over the years but this one has held up very well over the last 65+ years.
This set is in very good used condition, it *fills and writes well. This pen is a bit of a slow starter after initial fill, I found that by gently lifting the lever every so slightly (over the ink bottle) seems to get the ink flowing nicely. The mechanical twist Pencil also works well. The pen is full size and nicely balanced measuring 5-5/16” the matching pencil is the same size.
With Fathers Day coming up soon it’s a great affordable gift for the Dad you thought had everything (except for this pen set ), it could also be a nice addition to your collection.
As you can see, this pen set is priced for a quick sale, and it will sell fast so don’t delay in making an offer or buying it now. Good luck

*Important note about filling
The pen still has the original breather tube in place that extends almost the full length of the ink bladder, Eversharp filling instructions recommend that the lever be operated about 5 times while filling the pen to insure the ink bladder fills to maximum capacity. I usually lift the lever half way and kind of do a pump action 3-5 times.
