Made for 30,000 PSI tensile strength, fine cast iron, this durable general purpose vise also has a bed and base parallel to 0.001 inches. The center of the base is open for holding work through the body of the vise. Replaceable steel jaw plates include a fixed jaw that is grooved both horizontally and vertically for holding round stock. With an Acme lead screw, this Palmgren milling vise allows for fine-tuned adjustments to prevent any unnecessary damage to your workpieces. Palmgren's milling vises are the economical standard machine vise and is recommended for milling, drilling, boring, tapping and finishing operations on most parts.
