“I knew that creating a work chair is one of design’s greatest challenges, an intimidating project in every possible way,” says Swiss designer Yves Béhar. “There is no place to hide in a chair. Every part serves a structural or tactile purpose.” Béhar didn’t have to look far from his adopted home of San Francisco for the inspiration of his Sayl Task Chair (2010). The geometry of the Golden Gate Bridge suspension system can be seen in the airiness of the chair’s signature back. Its name reflects the sailboats that pass beneath the famous bridge, and replacing the “i” in “sail” with a “y” is a nod to the chair’s innovative Y-Tower™ structure, which provides ample support. The ventilated elastomer back flexes with your body and permits free air circulation, and the four-setting tilt limiter lets you adjust tension and range to your liking. Low-cost but high-concept, Sayl took almost three years to create and is Cradle to Cradle Silver Certified™ for sustainability. Although 90% recyclable, this task chair is no mere throwaway. To assemble, simply lock the seat into the base – no tools required. Made in U.S.A.

Shipping and Delivery:
Our shipping methods are determined by the type of item. Our available shipping methods are Fedex, Threshold and White Glove/In-Home delivery. Depending on location, some items might require a shipping quote our cost and delivery time could vary considerably. Smaller items tend to ship FedEx, and most large furniture pieces ships with full-service In-Home Delivery, which includes placement in your room of choice, assembly and removal of all packaging.
FedEx Delivery:*
Smaller parcels will be delivered to your door Tuesday–Saturday. Tracking information will be provided once your order leaves our warehouse. Typical delivery takes 5–10 business days from date of shipment. Parcels with a total combined selling price over 0 require a direct signature from the buyer. Tracking number's will be provided via eBay or e-mail.
Threshold Delivery:*
Larger parcels will be delivered over your threshold unless destination is a multi-unit building, in which case they will be left inside building entrance, not at your door. Typical delivery takes 1–3 weeks from date of shipment within the contiguous U.S. Includes an appointment with a 4-hour delivery window coordinated by an agent. Excludes unpacking, assembly and removal of packing materials. Please note: Deliveries to remote areas without highway access may take longer than usual
White Glove/In-Home Delivery:*
Larger parcels will be delivered into your space and placed as specified. Typical delivery takes 1–3 weeks from date of shipment within the contiguous U.S. Includes an appointment with a 4-hour delivery window coordinated by an agent, unpacking, assembly, placement in your room of choice and removal of packing materials. Excludes wall mounting, electrical work, structural changes, assembly of shelving and removal of non-DWR items. This method is sometimes required for select items subject to damage due to their size, weight or fragility.*Please note: Deliveries to remote areas without highway access may take longer than usual
Local Pickup:
When available, we offer free local pickup where the item is located at the time of purchase. Those locations are DWR Outlets located in Brooklyn, NY; Yonkers, NY; Oxnard, CA; Vero Beach, FL. Please make arrangements to pick up your items within 3 days of sale and/or contact us for more information.
International shipping:
Our items are designed and packaged for delivery within the contiguous U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Canada (limitations apply). We do not offer shipping or freight forwarding to international destinations; however, we can ship to a domestic freight forwarder of your choosing for international delivery
