C1948 EVERSHARP SYMPHONY DELUXE 1ST GEN LOEWY DESIGN FOUNTAIN PEN & PENCIL MINT

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this New Old Stock Circa 1948 1st Edition Eversharp Symphony Deluxe Fountain Pen & Pencil (Model 703) in the Black barrel with a 2-Tone Cap. The set comes with the original box and stickered. I consider this Eversharp Symphony Deluxe Fountain Pen and Pencil set to be in New Old Stock, Never Inked, Stickered, and Mint Condition!
Collector Note: The Eversharp Symphony was manufactured from 1948 to 1952 in hopes of recreating the success of the Skyline, which was winding down its popularity by 1948. Eversharp enlisted famed Paris, France-born industrial designer Raymond Loewy to design a new pen line which the Eversharp Symphony was one of his designs. The Loewy design was new, radical, and very forward-looking in its time and the pen still looks extremely modern today after all these years. However, Eversharp quickly re-designed the cap (it could be that the offset design was too difficult and expensive to manufacture) so the later models were made with a bullet-shaped profile similar to the Sheaffer pens. Consequently, the original, Loewy-designed pens are quite uncommon and not very often seen.
This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no dings, dents chips, cracks, teeth marks, or repairs. The original Eversharp Model 703 price stickers are still remaining and in excellent condition. The cap clips have a perfect stamping that reads, "EVERSHARP Made in U.S.A.". There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. I have not touched the fountain pen to buff or polish it - the lever fill filling system is in perfect working order and is factory. There is no brassing or wear to the cap or the gold-filled clip and cap banding. This Eversharp Symphony measures 5 1/2" in length capped and 6 1/4" posted. The Eversharp Symphony Pencil is in Mint Condition as well and measures 5 1/4" inches in length.
The Fountain Pen NIB is a 14K Fine Manifold Nib and retains the "FINE MANIFOLD" Nib sticker on the barrel. The point measures roughly .56mm when measured with digital calipers. I have not written with this Nib - I wanted to keep this Fountain Pen in New Old Stock, Mint Condition for the new collector that acquires this one.
The Lever filling system has been tested for functionality - I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills as it should. The filling system has perfect suction and works flawlessly. The filling system is the original Eversharp Factory one and original to the pen and works just like the day it left the factory.
The Eversharp Symphony Pencil works flawlessly. One would click the top of the cap to propel the lead. The pencil functions as it was designed to.
The original Eversharp Box comes with the set and is in Excellent condition.
This Eversharp Symphony Fountain Pen & Pencil Set is almost unheard of finding in this condition with it never being used. The set is in ready-to-write condition or just add to your writing arsenal collection. I would consider this Eversharp Symphony to be in New Old Stock, Mint Condition.

Refunds:
Item must be returned within 14 days of receiving it. The item cost will be refunded. (Buyer pays all shipping and insurance). Item must be returned with Delivery Confirmation. Item must be returned to qualify for a refund. I do not give refunds for uninsured items if they get broke in shipping. ( I do pack carefully, I do not want them to arrive broken.)
