EVERSHARP UNCOMMON SKYLINE STREAMLINER VARIANT IN GREEN, GFT, LF, c1943

Description

Here's EVERSHARP SKYLINE  STREAMLINER variant, seldom seen. The Streamliner was a lower end model which was equipped with a simplified clip with no over the top band. Most all I've seen, like this pen, have had the tapered SKYLINE pointed barrel as well. though some have a rounded barrel end.  No groove across the derby for the trademark over the top clip band.  The is no band at the cap opening...none intended..a bandless cap model with gold filled clip/clip ring and lever.  At any rate, the pen is 5-1/4" long and and has very good gold filled trim.  Marks are EVERSHARP on the clip (no double check mark) and normal markings on the clip ring including a SKYLINE mark.   The pen is a lever filler that has a good sac and takes up lots of ink. Dark green plastic  is all good except for a deep radial scratch on the cap that extends nearly halfway around the cap. This is possibly due to clip contact.  Nib is marked EVERSHARP MADE IN USA. It's missing the normal 14K on the second line, but it is 14K. It is a fine, straight point with good iridium and little or no flex. A very nice clean nib.
