HUGE 14" Jaws Bridgeport Milling Style Vice Precision Ground Swivel Base SMOOTH!. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. I love this humungous vice. It glides open and closed and its so nice knowing that the jaws are always accurately parallel to each other. Having such a large reference area makes work-holding, especially when gluing or welding when you need to be confident that things are square and true, so much easier. Furthermore, the amount of clamping pressure that this vise effortlessly generates is astounding. A simple flick of the handle will generate enough inertia to close around the work piece for nearly all situations. But, like everything in life, there are pros AND cons, and often enough, the two can be one and the same. Because of the size that makes it so desirable, i figure it weighs between 175 and 200lbs which makes moving it pretty inconvenient for most people, and out of the question, for the rest. And it's footprint is pretty sizeable so I figured I would list it on here and see what happens as selling it would be great to fund other projects, but keeping it would be great because its awesome to use and fun to look at. Win, win. As for its condition: its accurate and in good working order for sure, but definitely not going to be winning any mill-vice-pageant. Lastly, some may have noticed in the pictures of the base that the mounting tabs on one side had been brazed, but the previous owner had an Abom79 sized surface grinder and reground it flat so its not an issue. Like I said, this thing is large and heavy, but if someone needed it shipped and wanted to pay I would have no problem securing it to a pallet and sending it freight to wherever.
