The 15,000 rpm spindle is very robust for exotic materials in the sense that if needed you have the rpm for high speed machining type applications with lighter cuts and faster feeds, or for heavier roughing cuts it provides ample torque and a very good duty rating of 10 mins constant while in the cut.
The M560 really shines on heavier cuts due to the machine design – this is not a typical “C” frame Vertical, this is what separates it from the rest of the pack - it is designed with a double column structure allowing the “X” axis to travel on the column and NOT reside on top of the “Y” axis like most builders out there. This design gives the M560 the ultimate in rigidity.
