    Description

This listing is for the machinists vise as shown
.  Nice used condition with just the one drill point mark that looks more like a chip and nice jaw faces.  The stationary jaw is a toolmakers style with v notches on both the horizontal and vertical plane.  The machined bed is very nice with some discoloration towards the thread block but still very smooth, no corrosion or pitting.  Moving jaw is very smooth and flat and just very nice.  Moving jaw slides very smoothly along it's full travel.  Acme threads are excellent as is the thread block.  The vise is mounted on a micrometer style sliding base, which moves in the same direction as the vise jaw does.  The base has a round portion under the slide that is indexed it's full 360°.  Below that is another round stepped portion that is threaded with what I believe is a 7/16"-14 thread, but I am NOT positive of this, just going by sight.  Weighs appx 8.5 pounds and is appx 8" long overall with the jaws closed.
