Vernon Milling Machine

Vernon Milling Machine.
My father-in-law, a machinist by trade, purchased this mill at machine shop auction in the 90’s. His plan was to add it to his home shop for hobby use in his retirement. Unfortunately, he passed and it has been sitting in that shop, unused, since.
I don’t know milling machines but I know the following about this one. First, the mill was in working condition when he purchased it. (I was with him at the auction when he tested it). Second, as he was transporting it home, the upright machine fell forward, breaking off the adjustment wheels on the front and denting the basin. The wheels have been crudely welded back to their shafts (which were not damaged). See pics for detail. Thirdly, I know he tested the machine when he got it home and that it was working. This is when he decided to clean it up and paint it. Finally, I do not know the current operational condition of the machine. As I said, I don’t know milling machines and have little time to learn about them, which is unfortunate. They seem like really cool pieces of equipment.
I’m selling this Vernon as is, no returns, local pickup only. What you see is all I have. In other words, there are no accessories/parts that come with this mill. Hopefully somebody can make use of this vintage machine. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
