Wahl Eversharp Lever Filler Fountain Pen with14K Nib & Black Celluloid

Description

This is a Beautiful Vintage or Antique Wahl Eversharp Lever Filler Fountain Pen of Black Celluloid or Other Hard Early Plastic with 14K Gold Filled Trim. The pen does have a strip of Celluloid around the top rim of the cap just below the black portion that is somewhat clear and yellowed from age. The embossing on the cap is beautiful.  The pen measures 5-1/4 inches long with the cap on and 5-1/8 inches long with the cap off. The cap is engraved around the lower edge with 1/10 14K GOLD FILLED and the initials and name of the original owner.  The pocket clip is engraved with EVERSHARP. and the Wahl logo. The lever opens and shuts nicely.  The nib is engraved with EVERSHARP, 14K, MADE IN USA.
Condition:  The pen has not been restored.  The black portion of the pen has some scrapes, the worst one is right by the lever.  There are surface scratches from age and use and there are some small dents around the lower edge of the cap near the bottom see the last photo. There is one small end in the cap.  Some gold-fill is worn off on the very top of the pen on the curved gold. There are some rough spots on the nib that will need to be buffed out, otherwise the nib looks to be in good shape.
Most of the gold portions of the pen were covered with old ink, I cleaned it off with a damp paper towel and buffed it with a cloth. There is still some ink is in the grooves and on the edges. I believe the pen had both black and blue ink in it when cleaning with a damp paper towel, I got both colors on the towel.
