Wahl Eversharp Pacemaker Brown Amber Fountain Pen

Offered for bid is a circa late 1930s Eversharp lever-fill fountain pen in striped and marbled amber color celluloid. The Pacemaker is not that easy a pen to find. This pen has a nib marked Eversharp. It does not say 14k on it, but it looks gold to me. The nib appears to be extra fine to fine with a bit of flex to it. The pen has a working ink sac, but I don't know how long it has been in there or how long it will last. The barrel is personalized. As far as condition issues, the cap and barrel ends have become semi transparent. Otherwise, the pen is clean over all. The cap lip band and pocket clip are nice and clean with no brassing or wear through, and the imprints are strong. Signs of light use at best. This is a clean pen if you don't mind the barrel and cap ends and a bit of the top cap having lost its original color. The situation with deteriorating celluloid is an issue with these pens. This pen may last a long time in its current state or it may not. It's impossible to say. It's up to you if you want to chance it or not. I'm starting it at a pretty low price because of the condition issue.
